Is that a bug in your glass?

Late at night, on the night of March 31-April 1, 2011, I was thinking about how on April Fools Day I used to try to trick my mother into thinking a bug or fly had gotten into her glass of water, or more probably iced tea. I would get her looking in it and worrying about it, then tell her "April Fools!"

On the afternoon of April 1, 2011, I reached for my glass of water to get a drink, and saw a tiny winged bug inside, on the side of the glass a little above the water. My mother passed away last November, but I wonder if she was trying to send me a message.
